Goomeri Township

In the township of Goomeri, you'll be greeted with a warm welcome and excellent service. Enjoy a walking tour to explore local highlights, including the poignant war memorials such as the Hall of Memory and the ‘Lest We Forget’ clock, along with charming historic homes and churches. Conclude your tour with a relaxing break at local spots like the Pumpkin Pie coffee shop, Goomeri Lunchbox, or the Grape and the Olive for a delightful selection of refreshments.

A host of attractions take place each year including the now famous Pumpkin Festival held on the last Sunday in May each year and attracting some 14,000.


Booubyjan (30km north) is the site of Booubyjan Homestead, one of the district's original stations. Booubyjan now operates as a museum and function venue and is open to the public. Booubyjan also has its own hall, tennis court, community centre and schoolhouse.

The South Burnett Region in which Goomeri township is located, is the home of Australia's peanut and navy bean industries. It's also Queensland's largest wine producing area and has some of the best inland waterways in the State. Not surprisingly, there's lots to see and do - and something for every interest
